Getting into the City of Vigan

There are two methods of transportation in getting into the Vigan City where you can travel either by land or air.

If you choose to travel by land then you will be taking a ride on a passenger bus. Some cheap bus companies includes Partas Trans, Farinas Trans, Florida, Maria de Leon, Autobus and RCJ. But if you want a more relaxing and comfortable journey, you should take the air-conditioned buses stationed at Cubao or Pasay. Take note, starting from Manila to your destination has an estimated time-travel of 8 hours period.

Philippine Airlines

The easiest and a lot more comfortable way to arrive at Ilocos Sur is via plane (Philippine Airlines and Cebu Pacific). Unlike taking a bus, it will only take 45 minutes to travel from Manila to Laoag.

Once you reached Laoag, you can take a ride from any ordinary bus with a fare-costs around 80 pesos while 120 to 137 Pesos for air-conditioned bus. Discounts are given to all Senior Citizen and students (take note: IDs are inspected).
